EIGRP SRTT and RTO values are excessive

All,

I know how to fix this problem but can anyone give me an explination why this happens. (highlighted by *.)

the SRTT interval is the amount of time it takes a packet to be sent to a neighbor and an acknowledgement to be received from your local router. If you beleive this number is high , I would investigate latency on the wire.

the RTO is the amount of time the software waits prior to retansmitting a packet from the retansmit queue to a neighnor.
