Hi there

I'm getting this error when trying to save my running-conf.

How do I increase the "nvram-size" so that i can save my increasingly huge config?

IOS (tm) 3700 Software (C3725-IS-M), Version 12.3(1a)

Kind regards,

Svein

Try compressing config using"service compress-config" in the global configuration mode. This should resolve your issue.

Yes, thanks this did solve the problem. Are there any issues by using this command or is this "best pratice" when you get big config files?

No issues I can think off. This would be the way to go, if your config gets larger.

Hi,

I'm not sure if following methods are supported by 3725, but generally there might be two solutions:

a) Router(config)# service compress-config

which compresses the config file,

b) boot buffersize configuration command to increase the size of the simulated NVRAM. The configuration file cannot be larger than the buffer size allocation. The range is from 4096 to 524288 bytes.

HTH,
