then i reset the router,there's no response in the terminal.The router couldn't boot normally.The hotkey "ctrl+break" couldn't

interrupt.What should i do now???

appreciate for your help!!

Your absolutely correct, i just did this on my 2600 and i couldn't connect to the router after a reset, i tried changing the baud rate of hyperterminal to 115200 and i still couldn't connect to the router.

Just took the lid off, unfortunately there isn't a jumper thingy on my router so i had to borrow one from a hard disk :(

Anyway, i put the jumper on to pins 1 & 2 and i can now console onto the router at 9600 baud rate.

Hi,

I've got a 2600 on my desk, i have just added "confreg 10000" and reset the router and it boots straight into rommon mode.

Are you sure you haven't also changed the baud rate on the router from within confreg.

If you have then you need to change the baud rate on hyperterminal or whatever terminal you are using to connect to the console to whatever you have chosen on your router, otherwise you may see a blank screen or some random characters.

If you are not sure whether you have done this there is a jumper on the mainboard of the 2600 that you can use to reset the baud rate.

Have a look here for the jumper settings

Thanks paddyxdoyle's reply

actually i used "confreg 115200".I suppose this command for change baud rate, but it doesn't work.Could you have a try?

I'm sure i haven't changed the baud rate.I didn't change anything except excuted "confreg 115200" and "reset".I toke this on another 2600,but the same issue...

I'll try to change reset jumper

Got it.Thanks a lot! :)

This is a bug?I think it should give some prompt when we attached a wrong parameter.
