Configuring the priority of imcomming data frames

Hi,

My question is regarding "switchport priority extend trust" question? When I set that command, the mini-switch on the 9760 phone keeps the cos priority of the data traffic received from the IP phone access port, which is great, as supposed to. But when I do "switchport priority extend cos 3", I expect the mini-switch on ip phone to change the priority of the data traffic received from the IP phone access port to 3, but it does not: it changes the priority to 0. I have to unplug/plug the phone to have the priority set to 3. I wonder if that is the way to go or I set up something wrong?

The configurations for extend the CoS value to teh ip phone port looks rigth. The fact that you have to unplug the phone for it to work seems to suggest that this is an issue with the phone. Is it running the latest phone load? What kind of switch is this?
