Hi Team,
I have situation now,i got the new hardware from Cisco (6504-E) and the standard Cisco console( RJ45 & DB connector)
I am having the Cyclade (ACS-5048 )Ethernet switch to provide the centralized console connections to all cisco devices.
so now i need the cisoco standard rollover cable (both sides RJ45) to connect console connections from cyclade switch.
My question is can I use straight through copper cable for console connections? is the future MDIX enabling will help me to use straight through cable for console ?
Please help......
Thanks & Best Regards

Hi
I have copper console cables but they go back to an opengear MGMT switch which understands it , does the Cyclade ? if it does it should work fine , my whole network is under Ethernet console switches , I don't use the blue rollovers unless im consoled into something the lab
The cisco side wont care its whether your end can understand it on the cyclade

Thank you Mark.
I am thinking can we use the normal straight through copper cable for console connections?
I am trying to avoid preparing rollover cable to be honest.
Thanks & Best Regards
