CPU Processes on 6509

At irregular intervals during the day the core switches increase to over 70% in CPU usage for around a minute or so. This makes PING's to the core over 100ms in some cases.

When looking at the CPU processes on the 6509 it tells me that line number 146 which is the THREAD process is running at 70%. Can someone provide any ideas on this.

Hi Wayne,

One possibility is due to high traffic, may be you can use the sniffer trace and find out where the traffic is comming from. Also you can troubleshoot it by taking one module at a time and then once you find the module u can just put the module back and then take out one cable at a time to reach to the root cause of the problem.
