Hi,
I am having a problem getting CiscoWorks running on a Win2k server - it was previously working OK. The CW2000 Daemon Manager service is not starting and returning the following error when you try to start it manually.
"Could not start the CW2000 Daemon Manager service on local computer.
The service did not return an error."
Does anyone know how I can get the service running again??
Thanks

You may want to see in the windows Event log as to what error is it coming up with. Was any application / patch / security policy or the like installed on this server?
Try the below commands at the DOS prompt.
net stop crmdmgtd
net start crmdmgtd
Thanks,
yatin

Hi,
I have had exactly the same problems. I still have a case open with the TAC but what solved it was running resetcasuer.exe (you can do a search on the root of the CSCOpx directory). You then should be able to do a net start crmdmgtd. Also make sure that the 'casuser' account has full control on C:\Winnt and C:\Winnt\System32. Problem appears to be related to permissions.
Late reply but hope it helps
