CW2000 logging to dmgtd.log.0 not dmgtd.log

We use LMS 2.2 on Solaris 7. Once a week we stop CW2000, backup its logfiles *.log to *.log.0, create new empty *.log and restart CW2000. It turns out that the new dmgtd.log remains empty and logging continues to dmgtd.log.0. Any idea if this is a Solaris issue or a CW2000 bug?

Use LogRot instead: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=16288&group_id=25401

works way better and can be automated.
