I have a small lab at home which I power down when not in use. I was curious if the regular powering on and off of the equipment adversely affects the units.
I don't think you'll have any problems. I attended the Cisco Networking Academy course at our local college and we powered down 5 2500 series routers and 2 Cat1900 switches everyday and never had a problem.
