We are testing a 6T1 MLPPP bundle on a 7507 router running 12.2T.
When the router is running in "ip cef" mode, everthing works fine aside from a rather large RSP utilization hit.
When the router is running in "ip cef distributed" mode traffic is passed *through* the router without trouble and the RSP utilization is low as expected. Traffic generated by the router however no longer goes anywhere if the destination is over the MLPPP interface.
For instance, I'm able to ping the IP addresses of any ethernet interfaces on the router without trouble, but if I try to ping the address of the Multilink interface on the router the request times out. All devies connected to the routers ethernet interfaces are able to pass through the router and on to our upstream provider without trouble. If I run the "ip cef" command to turn off "ip cef distributed" everything immediatly starts working.
Any thoughts?
