Looking at interconnecting 2 data-centers with a layer-2 infrastructure. Originally, we requested layer-2 circuits for this connection but have to leverage a layer-3 infrastructure instead. The solution is to implement a layer-2 overlay to connect the data-centers.
VXLan, or OTV?
With our Nexus 9200 series switches, should we simply obtain layer-3 licensing and utilize these devices? Is it more ideal to continue with acquiring Cisco ASR-1001X routers to handle the overlay network (current plan)?
