DHCP configuration for PDUs (APC)

Hi Community,

I need your help on how to configure DHCP in order to assign dynamically an IP to the PDU management ports. Below the configuration I applied in my router:

ip dhcp excluded-address 172.16.42.1

ip dhcp pool TEST-DHCP-MGMT

network 172.16.42.0 /24
domain-name test.net
default-router 172.16.42.1

I'm expecting that the PDU will get dynamically an IP address but nothing seems to be working (got nothing with "sh ip dhcp binding"). I've attached a prototype of the used design of my network for more clarification.

Could you please direct me to the configuration to adopt at the level of the router in order for this to work. I found that on the internet I have to use the DHCP option "option 43 hex x.x.x", but I didn't know how to configure it correctly.

Thanks in advance.

  - I would advise to separate DHCP services from switches and routers and use a dedicated DHCP server on the Intranet.
