I have a DSL Internet connection from my ISP with one static ip. The ISP uses this pool 213.132.133.0/24 and 213.132.153.0/24 as a DHCP pool. They binded my ip 213.132.133.239 with my PC Mac address and so far for 3 months I did not face any problem until yesterday.

My PC mac address is 0012.89c6.d2fb on the Ethernet adapter. I am using D-LINK 501 router on the router the mac address is 0154.76d2.a1fc. But yesterday and today I am getting an ip 213.132.153.29 from the 2nd DHCP-pool and I can browse thru the internet, and my ISP had noticed that 213.132.153.29 is with mac 26-00-49-06-89-f3 ...Now which mac address is this and why the helll am I not gettin my static ip address. The ip 213.132.153.29 is not binded with that mac 2600.4906.89f3. What shud I tell where is the problem with my ISP or with me

hello,

is it like u have to make your mac address from ISP??? means u have to send request for MAC free...i think there should be some misbehave from your ISP so first of all make sure for your MAC free request and then access internet ....because same kind of problem i had faced and this is just because of MAC free request.
