Hello,
we are planning a Network Setup in which we have to assign VLAN on the basis of different Projects.
So a Single PC will be the part of VLAN 2 during morning shift , same PC will be the Part of VLAN 3 during afternoon & the Same PC will be the part of VLAN 5 during the Night shift .
Note: PC will be the part of a single VLAN & will not be able to communicate with other VLAN.
So can we achieve this setup??
Also if yes how we will change the VLAN on the switch port to which the machine is connected??
Regards
Vijay

unless u physically move your pc to different ports assigned to different vlans... the setup you are trying to achieve cannot be done

Actually if you have switches that support 802.1x and a RADIUS server like Cisco Secure ACS that supports 802.1x with dynamic VLAN assignment you could accomplish this.
If you are not familiar with 802.1x, its just an authentication protocol that authenticates a user before the switchport is allowed to pass any data traffic. You can point the switch to a RADIUS server which has username to VLAN mappings.
If you were able to do some thing like this when the user/s logs in he/she will be assigned to whatever VLAN is configured on the RADIUS server.
Here are some links for different switch models describing 802.1x with VLAN assignment.
Heres an example of a Cat 6K and Cisco Secure ACS doing 802.1x and VLANs.
