Hi,
I have a question here.... If I want to enable the multicast over wan and I use EIGRP, will multicast work ? I user EIGRP only to tell the router how to reach the particular networks ? Btw, how to enable multicast over wan where the routers are not directly connected, like
LAN A----Router A---------Routers--------Router B---LAN B

If you want to enable multicasting from a source in LAN A to destinations in LAN B then you are going to have to enable multicast routing using something like PIM SM. This works with EIGRP (or any other IGP for that matter) but is not something that should be done lightly.

Hi.
If you can't enable any multicast routing protocol in the routers between routers A and B, you can establish a tunnel between A and B and enable multicast on the tunnel itself.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
1. You are probably going to use PIM - protocol INDEPENDENT multicast
2. Multicast will work over not directly connected routers with IP tunneling, like GRE or UTI
