Is there anyway I can implement EIGRP protocol authentication on exsisting topology while none of my routers suffer any down time?

Best of my knowledge , you can implement EIGRP protocol authentication on all existing router at a time. So it wont affect the network, but if you missed any of the router , it will not send or recieve the update with the neighbors.

The only problem I've seen w/ this is the admin accidentally typed in the wrong key string, and of course it was on the remote router so the line dropped. However, he wasn't aware he could just throw in a static route and routing would continue so he could make corrections and life was good again. So no worries!
