guys,
how can i change from enable mode i.e. (router>) to (Router>#) privillage mode?
i typed (router>en to change but told me there is no password set while there was before (days) back... I dont know what happened the router changed to this mode.
what could be responsible to such changes (resetting)?
if i reset Baud reset jumper of the router will i loose all data in the router? if yes means i have to re-config the router afresh right?
please guys, advice on what to do to solve this problem.
waiting for your quick response guys.

The router will not let you go into privileged mode from a telnet session unless there is an enable password set. But it will let you do that from the console. Just attach a console terminal (HyperTerminal etc.), then do enable. Once in, do a conf t, and set an enable secret xxxxxxx. From then on, you will be able to get into the priveleged mode from a telnet. Don't forget to copy run start.

thanks for the tip mr. kevin, but the system don't let me do config t when its gave me (router>) and i use en (enable) it will only prompt me with (% No password set). try and see commands that are under this mode on your router (router>?).
Last option I took is re-installed ios which fixed the whole problem but lost all informations on the box... but i have soft and hard copy of almost 90% of the datas in the box...
thanks for all assistance from all that contributed.
cheers and have a nice day all guys!
