enabling RMON alarm traps for a specific interface

Hi

I have configured the router to generate rmon alarm traps for certain traffic raising and falling threshold. The route is 1760 with one fastethernet port and two serial ports. The router generates the trap whenever i sent traffic on ethernet port. However, i have configured policy based routing to forward a certain type of traffic on a specific serial interface. Ideally, i want the traps to occur whenever there is traffic going on this specific serial interface.

Anyone knows, how to stop this rmon alarm for ethernet and configure for only serial.

The router is running IOS 12.1 version.

As of IOS Releases of 12.2 Mainline, RMON support is only for Ethernet interfaces. I dont think you can use it for serial interfaces also.
