Not sure I am posting this Question in the right area. One of our staff members has approached me and asked whether there is a way to connect our Cisco Unity based phone system to our Entry doors.
For example, a visitor is at the entrance door which is locked all day, every day. Without staffs go all the way to the entrance door and open the door manually, is there way to punch in a key code on our Phone (Cisco IP 7942), and open the entrance door? How to do, where can I get the service, what equipment to buy etc. are the unknowns. Something that communicate with VOIP based phones / Unity based Phone system and the entry doors- any suggestions?
