On a 6509 chassis I'm seeing an increase in traffic on the interface EOBC0/0 MRTG stats
Does anyone know this interface is?

Hi,
EOBC (Ethernet out-of-band channel) is the communications path between then supervisor engine CPU, the MSFC and the line cards - and SCP (serial control protocol) defines the protocol that is used to exchange messages over the EOBC.
An increase in traffic by itself isn't normally a problem unless you're also getting log messages such as SCP comms failure messages, in which case I believe you need to contact the TAC.
HTH - plz rate if it does
Andrew.

No messages in the logs. Just the increase in traffic after installing an additional 6509.
Cheers bud.
