Err-disabling port with FCS errors

Hi!

Is it possible to automatically err-disable port that has too many errors (FCS, etc.) on it (in IOS on low-end switches and hi-end CatOS switches)?

Can the system do it by default (without the configuration)?

As far as my knowledge goes, we have to specifically configure the " err-disable" , there is no automatic way of keeping it in the mentioned state.
