Hello,
I am searching for technical documentation which describes in detail the conditions or situations a switch port is put in ERRDISABLE state.
The switch is a Cat6500 running 12.2(18)SXD1.
Many thanks for a quick reply.

Hi Kurt,
There are some situation which can result into errdisable state like dtp-flap, gbic-invalid,link-flap, pagp-flap, psecure-violation, udld. Also sometimes due to late collisions ports go into errdisable state.
This link will guide with the same for cat6k switch with IOS ode running 12.2SXD series
