Hi, I am having an extremely high Multicast and Broadcast traffic rate on my LAN. We recently installed our Checkpoint FW on a Cluster high availability scheme and the problem started, I dont know if it´s got something to do with it. I had to enable cgmp on the switch for getting the FW to work but now I am dealing with this inconvenient. Any comments?
Thanks, Bye.

define "extremely high .. rate"!?!
Use a tcpdump and look at what is actually being broadcasted. The nodes in that cluster might be sending heartbeats to each other, though I would not call that "extremely high rate". You should not have to enable CGMP for getting the FW to work. CGMP is for limiting multicast which otherwise becomes a broadcast.
