Hello,

I have this senario right now.

Multilayer switch 6509

Switch 3550XL

Work Station

how can I install and connect one more 3550xl switch between cisco 6509 and work station for failover.So if one switch get down still this work station can work with other switch.

Hello,

in the scenario described by you, failover could be achieved by connecting the second 3550 to the first one and by installing a second NIC in the workstation, which is then connected to that second 3550. Then, run HSRP between the switches.
