Hi,
I'm familiar with configuring several, shall we say, "lesser" routers to ADSL lines. Our ISP normally provides 8 IP addresses, and the "lesser" routers are normally configured in "half bridged" mode (i.e. the router just passes any traffic destined to any of our 8 IP addresses through from the ADSL side to the LAN side).
This week I have to configure a 1701 in a similar way. Is there a config for this functionality on the Cisco website for the 1701 which someone can point me at?
Thanks,
D.

Hi,
I think you need to enable static natting translation from outside to inside, associating each of the outside addresses with inside ones.
You will find a lot of samples in cisco website on how to do that.
Best regards,

Hi,
Is it not possible to have live IP addresses on the LAN side of a 1701 then? Reason I ask it that I'll be hosting a PIX 501 behind the 1701, and I'm used to giving the outside of the PIX live addresses.
Usually will have static commands from the live address on the outside to the private address on the inside for things like SMTP etc.
Thanks,
D.
