I set a span port 2/48 to monitor from 2/1 to 2/47 for IDS Sensor require. And the switch have not physical loop. The topology is a server connect to 2948G,and 2948G connect to Netscreen. No HSRP,No FEC. Today, I received a log say:
%SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Host 00:30:6e:0c:16:96 is flapping between port 2/2 and port 2/48
%SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Host 00:07:ec:17:b3:fc is flapping between port 2/48 and port 2/49.
I feel so strange, because the day before everything is ok.What is the reason will cause this problem?

What is on ports 2/2 and 2/49? What are the devices with the MAC addresses 00:30:6e:0c:16:96 (HP something) and 00:07:ec:17:b3:fc (a cisco something)...
Is the IDS plugged directly into port 48? And are there any trunks? Hubs?
