Hi,
does anyone knows if it is possible to have 2 physical interfaces from the same router to act as if it was a single one for high availability. I want these two interfaces to connect to two different switches so I don't loose connectivity in case of a switch failure.
I would like to achieve high availability like this
RouterA (7206):
e0-> ISP A (as100)
e1-> SwitchA (vlan 100)
e2-> SwitchB (vlan 100)
RouterB (7206):
e0-> ISP B (as200)
e1-> SwitchC (vlan 100)
e2-> SwitchD (vlan 100)
The switches would be connected in the following way
SwitchA->SwitchB->SwitchC->SwitchD->SwitchA
Doing so, I could lose a switch without losing connectivity at all. If a switch goes down, spanning tree will put one of the port from blocking to forwarding and the traffic will continue to flow
I will be using GLBP between both routers for outgoing redundancy.
So is there a way that the two interfaces from the same routers act as one ?
Thanks
