Unfortunately, the only means of clearing the buffer counters is a reload.
There have been several requests in form of enhancement bugs for
development to add a "clear buffer counters" or some other such command to
CLI, but the problem is that the buffer statistics are particularly useful in DE
troubleshooting of memory related problems and it is believed that the buffer
stats would become confusing or misleading if they could be cleared without
a reload. So for now and probably for awhile, the buffer counters can only be
cleared by a reload.
