Hello everyone,

I have a question about how do I disable LinkUp/Down traps

on Catalyst 3550.

According to the document, Catalyst 3550 Multilayer Switch

Command Reference, 12.1(13)EA1, "snmp-server enable traps"

command provides the following selectable options.

bgp

cluster

config

entity

envmon

fan

hsrp

mac-notification

port-security

rtr

shutdown

snmp

supply

temperature

trap-rate

vlan-membership

voltage

vtp

However I don't recognize which option above is related with

LinkUp/Down trap.

So please let me know more information about this.

Regards,

You do it per port.

ie

3550-CH1(config-if)#int fa0/1

3550-CH1(config-if)#no snmp trap link-status

cheers
