The router will attempt to run AutoInstall whenever you start it if the serial [WAN] connection is connected on both ends and the router does not have a configuration stored in NVRAM
do these interfaces have a config ?
If they do not , admin down and wr mem.

The routers are being used in a test lab.
I need to be able to erase the NVRAM and allow the routers to boot into setup mode. It is a pain in the neck having to mess around with SLARP autoinstall.
I would like to be able to reboot the routers and not have to deal with slarp.
I am looking for some kind of command/service command to disable this process?
Do all 25xx series routers perform this procedure?
Thanks in advance

Boot them up with no serial cables attached

I know how to prevent it from happening, but I would like to disable it from happening!
These routers are in a testing environment, I would like users to change configs not cables!
