we have a pa-4e1 module in one slot of vip2-40. Just using tow ports, but there are nearly 100 subinterfaces every port(using frame-relay), so totoly nearly 200 subinterfaces.

erverything works well. but when we reload the router, too many interface up down infos and dlci active and deleted infos roll up, don't stop until I shut down one port(plug out cable and type blindly 'shut ' command. but then I not shutdown the port, everyting woks well again!

does anyone know the reason? Just type 5 info message, not any other infos.

Interface support, regarding the number of them, is more dependant on platform and specific PA type and IOS version. See IDB limitations:

As for all your log messages (assuming these are coming to the console) you're getting. By default console logging is set to debugging so if you want you could set this to a different logging level as to not see these info level logs at the console. This would be good for not tying up the console and conform to best practices as well.

See the "Limiting the Types of Logging Messages Sent to the Console" portion

Hope this helps you,
