how to change device names in RME

hi,

i have had some devices which i have imported form my NNM into RME

at the time we didnt have them listed in dns ,so the device names were listed as there ip address`s ,

now they are listed in DNS is there any way of changing the device names ONLY

A suggestion:

RME, Admin, Inventory

Export devices to a file

Change required devices from ip address to names in this file

Delete all other devices in the exported file

Import file back into CW, use option to use imported details if conflict occurs

or delete item(s) to change in RME, Admin, Inventory before importing

The only way to do this is to delete the devices and then add them back again in RME, you can use bulk import and use a .csv file to import them back again.
