How to configure on Cisco to link with Nortel switch with 802.3ad (multi channel trunking)?
I have a triangle setup running on two Nortel core switches with active-active mode, and the Cisco floor switch connect back both switches with multi channel spread trunking. (802.3ad).
I change to Nortel is working fine but I swap to Cisco switch 4950, it seem not working properly....

Hi Friend,
Can you please confirm which cisco switch you are having , I don't think there is any switch like 4950.
Also whatever cisco switch you have you can configure etherchannel with mode lacp.

Sorry, is typo Cisco Switch 2950 but sure can support mode lacp.
The problem is Cisco switch to one Core switch is working fine, but I spread with two Nortel core switch with triangle setup then the problem seem like some time working or no working.

Hi Friend,
I don't think your setup will work. AFAIK etherchannel between multiple switches is not supported from Cisco.
If you have 2 parallel links from cisco 2950 to one nortal core switch , etherchannel will work fine with mode lacp but if you have 2 links from 2950 going one to core notal switch 1 and other to core nortal switch 2 etherchannel will not come up.
HTH, if yes please rate the post.

Dear ankurbhasin,
If I change all to Cisco Switch, the triangle setup will work?

Hi Friend,
No even then this will not work. Etherchannel between 2 switches will work but etherchannel between multiple switches will not work.
The only platform that supports etherchannel across multiple switches in a stack is the 3750 series.
