How to erase Configuration on a 4006

Hello,

I have a 4006 that I've used in a lab environnement and know I Would like to erase all the startup config . I've tried to do the erase startup-config command and then reload , but nothing happend .. My config register is 0x2102 .. and I boot from the bootflash:

It depends on the Supervisor and Operating system you are using.

Cat 4006 with SupI or Sup II and Cat OS:

clear config all

Cat 4006 with Sup III or IV and IOS:

wr erase

reload

(answer N to save config)

If it is a Sup3/4, you'll need to delete the vlan.dat file as well. The following page should help
