I have a Catalyst 2924XL, running 11.2 (8) - SA6 (highest it will run). All I want to do is to have every port on it running in the same VLAN. I have it hooked to another switch, with that switches port in the VLAN that I want. This works for an old Bay Networks unmanaged switch, why can't I get this to work with a Cisco!!! Please help!

This should work, have you used a single cross over cable to link the two switches ?
I guess that you have ensured that both ports are running at the same speed ?

John-
Thanks for your help. After your post, where you hinted I might be doing something stupid, I checked and I was! =) For some reason I had decided to put all the ports in the same vlan, when I should have just left them in vlan 1 and let the other switch handle the different vlans. Thanks again!

If you are looking to assigning all the interfaces to a VLAN, the following document should help
