how to upgrade IOS to C1100 router with enable feature crypto (vpn)

Hi,

I have a router c1104 with feature securitk9 (VPN crypto) and enabled license with on-prem license server..

we tried to install the new version of IOS with classic mode, but when reload the router with the new IOS the router didn't keep the license.

therfore the router not establish the tunnel with crypto for vpn because not remember the license that it has before.

IOS is universal, you need to get License to activate : look at below document : (universalk9—Contains the ipbasek9 base package and the securityk9, uck9, and appxk9 technology packages. )

Sorry I think not I explained very well.

My router work fine with all feature that I need also the crypto.

The problem when I upgrade/change the firmware of the router.

When restart it lose al feature. I believed that it kept the all license that I activated before the upgrade.
