How to upgrade the IOS on catalyst 3548 XL using .tar file

How can we upgrade the IOS of Catalyst 3548 XL using RME.

The RME only updates the bin file in the flash and not the html files.

You would use the tar /x [ WORD Tar filename] [WORD Dir to extract files into]

Which version of RME are you using? I believe that

RME 3.3 will take care of this issue. As a matter

of fact, if you try to distribute a bin image to

an XL switch using RME 3.3, it will fail. You must

use the tar image. Also, RME 3.3 will issue the

tar command for you.
