Hi All,

We want to use syslog to monitor SNMP activity like people try to poll the RO community. Which kind of syslog level I should use? I don't want to waste lots of router / switch 's resource.

On documents I found command "set logging level snmp severity", but it is for CatOS. Is there similar feature available on IOS? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can find available SNMP syslog messages like %SNMP-3-AUTHFAIL under Supporting Documents -> Cisco IOS Software System Messages in the IOS documentation at:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/index.htm

and syslog configuration commands under the Configuration Guides and Command References -> Cisco IOS Configuration Fundamentals and Network Management Configuration Guide/Command Reference at:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/index.htm
