Hello
Does anybody know how much performance the HSRP-process consumes per subinterface?
In my case three routers have to build 14 segments.
At the moment only the three vitally important segments are protected trough HSRP.
But I plan to make them all redundant.
So how many performance does the HSRP process need in idle running?
Is there a rough rule of thumb?
The hardware:
CISCO 2621 ---> 5 subinterfaces
CISCO 2621XM ---> 6 subinterfaces
CISCO 7206 with NPE 400 ---> 3 subinterfaces
Thanks in advance

It'll be negligable unless you happen to hit a bug. Both the resource requirements (e.g., CPU usage) and bandwidth requirements are insignificant.
