Hi I was trying to configure HSRP on cisco router standby1 ip 172.27.0.2, standby1 priority 150, standby preempt then went to second router standby1 ip 172.27.0.2 now I just get repeating message %IP-4-DUPADDR: Duplicate address 172.27.0.2 on GigabitEthernet0/1, sourced by 0000.0C07.AC00 and I can't do anything on the routers now because everytime I try type in CLI it just deletes when the message pops up anyone able to assist?

Did you do "write memory" to any of that devices before you type the standby IP address? are you sure you did not use the 172.27.0.2 for any of the physical interfaces?
