HSRP - Tracking sub-interfaces

I was under the distinct impression that you could only track on main interfaces. Will HSRP allow you to track subinterfaces on a frame relay HSSI link?

We use HSRP tracking on ATM subinterfaces on PA-A3s.

The important issue is whether the link protocol for the subinterface actually goes down so you have something to track on when you experience a failure for that subinterface.
