Hi,

I have got 1 3750(main) & 1 3550(standby), i had given the HSRP commands also, now when 3750 goes down 3550 will take care of the network client switches & servers, now for testing i have switched off the 3750, 3550 is taking atleast 30 sec to come up on the network, now how do i reduce the timings, because having 30 seconds down time on the network is really a big problem, so i wanted it to be less than 10 seconds, how do i do that? thanks in advance.

Hi Anand,

The default hold timer is 3 seconds and hold timer is 10 seconds so the fallback should not be more than 10 seconds.

I think you have changed the default timers as hello timer to 10 and hold timer as 30 seconds?

If yes change it back to 3 and 10 seconds to work as you want.
