I cant stop my Cisco 800 Router from dialing out!

I have a cisco 800 router conected to the internet via ISDN. It keeps conecting automaticaly when there is no connection needed. I have checked the machines connected, as far as I know they are not causing the router to dial out. Does anyone know of any reason why it may be doing this.

PLEASE HELP!!! The phone bill is getting expensive!

The config on the router, is possibly wrong. It will have the wrong type of traffic set to 'interesting'. Interesting traffic is what causes the router to make a call. you may have to add an access control list or change the config.

Are you running a routing protocol on the ISDN interface? Periodic updates will cause dial out if you haven't configured the interface properly. An easy method is to set the interface as passive. If you prefer to have routing updates while the ISDN interface is active due to interesting traffic, there are also ways of going about that (As Mark mentioned, ACLs are also fairly simple implementation). There is also Snapshot routing, but I have never used it so you would have to check it out on CCO. Here are a couple of general DDR/ISDN links that might help:

Did it work? I hope so. If not, limit your interesting traffic to be more restrictive. Also use the dialer idle-timeout value so that it will drop the call after the timeout. Also disable CDP, routing protocols, etc that would cause the router to connect.
