IEEE 802.1Q VLAN-IDs 2-4094: How to configure on Switch?

How it is or is it in general possible (in the vlan database/interfaces etc.) using as the trunking protocol dot1Q (e.g. RFC2674) on catalyst series or especially on c2950-48 possible to use/configure higher VLAN-IDs than 1005?

If you have the enhanced software image then you can use VLAN ID's 1006 to 4094 in VTP transparent mode.

I believe the 2950G-48 has the EI as standard
