We use IMA to connect with AT&T's network and have had a couple of instances where they reset their Cisco equipment after seeing that the IMA group was in a "far-end temporary" sync-state. They say that the IMA group is functional but could experience problems if one of the T1's dropped. I have a few questions:
1. What exactly is a far-end temporary sync state and what causes it?
2. What are the negative effects of having an IMA group in this state?
3. Is there a way for us to detect this condition using SNMP or show commands on our routers?
Thanks,
Bob
