Intervan routing between a 3620 and 2950 running 802.1q is not working....

The 2950-48 has a trunk configured to one of the fastethernet ports from a 3620 router. On the router I have subint f0/1.45 and f0/1.46 config'd. I can't get the PC's connected to the switch to ping anywhere outside of vlan45 or vlan46. DHCP works but once the pc's get an ip from the server, they can't even ping the server....The DHCP server is on a different vlan connected to the other fasteth int of the 3620, vlan54. ISL on f0/0 works great with 2924's but 802.1q is giving me problems. Please assist.....

Is the native VLAN the same on both the router and switch port configuration?

If you have older IOS on the router, and the encapsulation command doesn't have the 'native' keyword as the last option then you need to configure the native VLAN on the main/physical interface and not a sub-interface. The native VLAN in 802.1q is not tagged.

Thanks for responding, yes, the native vlan is vlan 1 on the switch. The ip address is configured on the main interface f0/1. The other vlans are configured as f0/1.45 and f0/1.46 with encap dot1q 45 & 46 respectively. Still, the pc's connected to the switch get a dhcp address but can't ping beyond 45.1 or 46.1. Have you ever came across this problem before? When I do a sho interf trunk, vlan1 is the native vlan on both the switch and router.....
