Intranet Firewall - Routing Issue

Hello All:

Trying to get an intranet firewall setup and am having some routing issues.

3600 series router with fast ethernet port setup 10.0.5.2 connected to wan port of firewall 10.0.5.1.

If I do sh arp on router, it shows the ip of firewall but lists it as incomplete.

Can someone tell me what that means and why it's listed as that?

Thanks in advance.

This means that the arp-entry cannot be resolved, i.e. no response was received on the arp request.

Potential reasons for this:

- cabling issues

- incorrect subnet settings
