hello
can cisco cat6500 make IP_VLAN ?
traditionnaly we define port vlans, then we configure inter-vlan routing.
i don't want to use this method. i want to know if cisco can recognize and make dynamically VLANs based on IP address of connected devices.
then it will make interIPVALN routing automatically.
if it is not possible with cat 6500, so is there an other L3switch that can make such routing mecanism?
thx

We support only port based VLANs. If you are looking something dynamic, we support VMPS which is based on MAC address. You can find more info on VMPS at
