Ipv6 image for 2610

Hi all

Can anyone recommend the correct image to download to enable IPv6 support on a 2610 router as shown below. Also a link to the image would be great.

IPv6 support for the 2610 was introduced in 12.2(T) according to the IOS feature browser:

...what commands are not working?

As for downloading other IOS images, these are no longer available for this platform on the Cisco download site. You should be able to find them via google, but you have no way of verifying the MD5 hash of the iage against the Cisco repo, so tread carefully!

No Ipv6 commands are working

Ah looking a bit further into this the image you have is the basic 'IP' image. IPv6 support starts with the 'IP Plus' image. There doesn't seem to be support for IPv6 on the 12.3(5) releases. 12.3(6) does have it, so probably your best bet is to look for the 'Enterprise Basic' image which will be the most feature rich:

c2600-j1s3-mz.123-6.bin

It would seem that I need 64mb dram and my 2610 is only showing  48mb  -

cisco 2610 (MPC860) processor (revision 0x00) with 45056K/4096K bytes of memory.

So would you agree I also need a memory upgrade or is there another IPv6 image more suitable ?

Across all versions, the minimum hardware requirement you will need to meet is 64MB DRAM and 16B flash. This should get at least an 'IP Plus' image working.

Avoid buying Cisco RAM for this router. Even if you could find it, it would have an eye watering mark-up.

Looking at the installation guide:

You need 3.3v EDO 100-pin DIMMs. There should be some on Ebay.

As for the flash, that is a SIMM module. But if you want to upgrade beyound 32MB you need to upgrade the Boot ROM. This may be a step too far :) Check the guide:
