Question:
With the loss of DB9 serial ports on the laptops, CISCO has now introduced a direct USB connection as a console interface for laptop connectivity (this makes sense).
Currently it looks like CISCO is just "adding" the USB console and not "replacing" the RJ45 serial. (please state otherwise if u disagree)
My question is: Will the Serial RJ45 interface be going away? as zillions of already deployed terminal servers and Out of Band Management platforms are out there already installed?. Will Enterprise owners have to scrap them all for USB based hardware?
